The Innovation Interest Group seeks to inspire and cultivate collaboration among forward-thinking emergency physicians to improve health through novel ideas and technology.
Group Objectives
- Foster a network of individuals and institutions to share ideas and collaborate on applying innovative principles to the healthcare setting.
- Inspire innovation-minded emergency medicine (EM) physicians to incorporate the best of design thinking and technology to improve the clinical practice and processes of medicine.
- Support academic and community emergency departments in the design and operation of innovation-focused laboratories and centers.
- Develop educational opportunities that further an understanding of innovation in EM.
- Cultivate collaboration between the technology industry, makerspaces, and EM physicians.
