  • Intended Audience: junior faculty (within 5 years of graduation) OR fellows/senior residents with basic knowledge of research
  • Program Length: September-May (9 months)

 

ARMED MedEd

ARMED MedEd builds upon fundamental knowledge and skills to design a high quality research project and grant proposal focused on medical education

  • Intended Audience: faculty with special interest or existing experience in medical education research, with preference given to those who have participated in other foundational programs and who already have a clear project in mind
  • Program Length: May-May (1 year)

 

Chair Development Program

The AACEM Chair Development Program (CDP) enhances capabilities and effectiveness of new and aspiring department chairs through skill development, advising, and mentorship.

  • Intended Audience: interim/new chairs, vice chairs, and advanced faculty making the natural career progression towards chair
  • Program Length: January-January (1 year)

 

Emerging Leader Development Program (eLEAD)

The Master Educator course is designed to strengthen conceptual understanding of educational theory and practice, ability to design and implement high quality educational programs, and increase effectiveness as educators in both the classroom and clinical environment.

  • Intended Audience: mid-level faculty who identify primarily as educators looking to fine-tune their medical educator skills

Certificate in Academic Emergency Medicine Administration (CAEMA)

The purpose of the Certificate in Academic Emergency Medicine Administration (CAEMA) program is to develop proficiency in knowledge for administrators in academic emergency medicine, covering topics like resident education, post residency training, inclusion of medical students, and research in EM.

  • Intended Audience: department administrators, including financial admins, HR, billing, coding, business administration teams
  • Program Length: Spring-Spring (1 year)
