SAEM Pulse advances education, training, and research in emergency care by providing timely updates, insightful articles, and engaging content to over 9,300 members. Aligned with SAEM’s mission, Pulse celebrates achievements, promotes scientific discovery, and supports professional growth, fostering a dynamic network dedicated to improving acute patient care and shaping the future of emergency medicine.

What You'll Find in SAEM Pulse

SAEM Pulse publishes full-length feature articles exploring timely and relevant topics in emergency medicine, aimed at advancing education, training, and research. Additionally, the publication includes several columns and departments:

  • Spotlight: Profiles of SAEM leaders and esteemed members, whose experience, advice, and words of wisdom have the potential to inform, teach, and inspire.
  • President’s Comments: Thoughts, reflections, and calls to action from SAEM’s current Board President.
  • Board Corner: SAEM board liaisons provide a roundup of what's happening in the Society's many active groups.
  • NIH Office of Emergency Care Research Update: Helpful information about the National Institutes of Health (NIH), its many grant opportunities for emergency physicians and how to apply, from the director of the Office of Emergency Care Research (OECR).
