Senior Resident
As a senior resident, you should continue your involvement in health policy and continue seeking further leadership opportunities in health policy through your state and local medical societies, the Emergency Medicine Residents' Association (EMRA), the American Academy of Emergency Medicine Resident and Student Association (AAEM RSA), and the SAEM Residents and Medical Students (RAMS) academy as time permits. Later years in residency also offer opportunities to use elective time to travel and experience health policy opportunities available to emergency physicians. In this year, you should have prepared your application for fellowship and begun to make contacts within the health policy community in EM.
