Abstracts
SAEM Annual Meeting abstracts reflect interactions between emergency departments and society's most vulnerable individuals, covering diverse topics representative of a day in the emergency department. These abstracts, produced by numerous researchers and educators, contribute fresh insights to emergency care, affirm prior findings, and provide potential practice-changing evidence. They collectively narrate a global emergency care experience, telling the story of important challenges and the ongoing need for knowledge. The best submissions, selected from over 1,000, are presented during a special plenary session.
Each year accepted abstracts are published in a special supplement of the Academic Emergency Medicine journal.
Abstracts provide concise overviews of research, detailing study background, methodology, limitations, results, and study significance. Session lengths vary based on presentation type: plenary (15 minutes), full oral (12 minutes), lightning oral (eight
minutes), and ePoster (seven minutes).
