    Amy Cutright, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. As an Associate Professor, Dr. Cutright brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to the academic arena. Dr. Cutright's influence extends beyond the classroom. In her capacity as Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs and Director of Emergency Medicine at UNMC, she plays a pivotal role in the administration and leadership of the department. In addition to her significant roles at UNMC and Nebraska Medicine, Dr. Cutright is an active member of several prominent medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, and the American College of Emergency Physicians. She also lends her expertise to the Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors in the clerkship section, contributing to the development of future healthcare leaders.

    Joseph B. House, MD

    Joseph House, MD, completed his undergraduate work at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. He then returned to Michigan and completed Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at University of Michigan, after which he joined the faculty in 2010. Currently he is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics and Communicable Disease. He currently serves as the Director of Medical Student Education for the Department of Emergency Medicine.

    Cameron Gettel, MD, MHS

    Assistant Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine

    Yale University

    Cameron Gettel, MD, MHS, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, a Clinical Investigator at the Yale Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), and a Co-Director of the Yale Emergency Scholars Fellowship. Dr. Gettel's research aims to advance the understanding of emergency department care transitions in the growing geriatric population. Dr. Gettel has led work with the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians respectively addressing fundamental emergency workforce topics and developing innovative models to improve quality measure reporting within the specialty. Dr. Gettel received a BS from Elizabethtown College and an MD from Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. He completed residency in Emergency Medicine at Brown University followed by a health services research and policy fellowship in the National Clinician Scholars Program at Yale University.

    Christopher Bennett, MD, MSc, MA

    Christopher Bennett, MD, MSc, MA, is a physician scientist in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University. His research interests include better understanding American's access to both emergency departments and emergency physician care. Dr. Bennett completed residency training at Harvard Medical School's program in Emergency Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Bennett holds an undergraduate degree from Winthrop University (BS in Biology), a graduate degree from Duke University (MA in Genetics and Genomics), a medical degree (MD) from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine, and a graduate degree from Stanford University MSc in Epidemiology). In addition to his formal graduate training, Bennett was previously a scientist with the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and a researcher with the Emergency Medicine Network based at Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital. Christopher previously served on the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) Board of Directors and the SAEM Foundation Board of Trustees.
  • D. Mark Courtney, MD MSci

    Dr. D. Mark Courtney is a Professor and Executive Vice Chair of Academic Affairs in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Courtney works clinically at Clements University Hospital, a large quaternary care center serving complex care patients in North Texas, and Parkland Memorial Hospital, the busiest emergency department by volume in the US. His main areas of interest are diagnostic test assessment, pretest probability for cardiopulmonary and vascular disease, and the detection and treatment of PE starting in the emergency department. He is a former Board Member and President of SAEM. Dr. Courtney's more recent academic interests beyond the scope of thrombosis and hemostasis include professional coaching as a tool to enhance wellbeing and happiness.
