Academic Emergency Medicine (AEM), is the official flagship journal of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM). Each month AEM features the best in peer-reviewed, cutting-edge original research relevant to the practice and investigation of emergency care and with the potential to elevate the human condition during times of emergency. Subject matter is diverse, including clinical trials, observational cohort studies, other human subject studies, innovative diagnostics and therapeutics, concept papers, clinical controversies, economic or policy research, health services research, laboratory science, basic science studies, and more.
