Please consider nominating yourself or your colleagues for one of the Academic Emergency Medicine Pharmacists (AEMP) awards described below.

  1. Nominee's CV
  2. One nomination letter detailing nominee's impact (maximum 2 pages). A nomination letter may be submitted by current or former colleagues, mentors, mentees, or employers.

Emergency Medicine Pharmacist of the Year

Eligibility
  • Current SAEM and AEMP member (suspended for 2024)
  • Members who have been in practice 5+ years following residency training
  • AEMP Steering Committee members are ineligible
Selection Criteria
  1. Evidence of dedication to emergency medicine (EM) pharmacy through a consistent track record of excellent clinical work and outstanding professionalism.
  2. Evidence of achievements, innovation, and dedication to EM through teaching and education-based scholarly activity.
  3. Evidence of promoting EM pharmacy via advising, advocating, mentorship, and actualizing systemic change such as increasing diversity and inclusivity in EM.
  4. National involvement and presence in EM and pharmacy practice (e.g. through SAEM committees, research consortiums, presentations, abstracts, posters, etc.).
  5. An EM pharmacist whose colleagues feel serves as an exemplary role model.

Emergency Medicine Pharmacy New Practitioner of the Year

Eligibility
  • Current SAEM and AEMP member (suspended for 2024)
  • Members who have been in practice (excluding residency) less than 5 years
  • AEMP Steering Committee members are ineligible
Selection Criteria
  1. Evidence of achievements, innovation, and dedication to EM through teaching and education-based scholarly activity
  2. National involvement and presence in EM and pharmacy (e.g. through professional organizations/committees, research consortiums, presentations, abstracts, posters, etc.).
  3. An EM pharmacist whose colleagues feel serves as an exemplary role model.

Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Resident of the Year

Eligibility
  • Current PGY2 EM pharmacy resident or having finished residency less than 1 year prior to the award submission deadline
Selection Criteria
  1. Evidence of early career achievements, innovation, and dedication to EM through teaching and education-based scholarly activity
  2. National involvement and presence in EM and pharmacy (e.g. through professional organizations/committees, research consortiums, presentations, abstracts, posters, etc.).
  3. An EM pharmacy resident whose colleagues feel serves as an exemplary role model.
