Evaluation and Assessment for the Stanford University Emergency Medicine Residency Program as well as Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) Implementation Lead for the Stanford University School of Medicine. She is an emeritus member of the AAMC Core Entrustable Professional Activities for Entering Residency pilot team and a member of the International Competency-Based Medical Education Collaborators. She is also a senior scientist in the Precision Education and Assessment Lab (The PEARL). Holly is the PI on a $1.3M Reimagining Residency Grant from the American Medical Association focused on redesigning assessment and implementing CBME across the continuum of emergency medicine training by introducing a technology-driven ecosystem of assessment and predictive learning analytics to the process. She recently completed her Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE) at the University of Illinois at Chicago examining the learner handover from undergraduate to graduate medical education from the perspective of residency program directors. She is a 2021-2022 Visiting Scholar for the American Board of Medical Specialties studying the use of assessment data by competency committees to inform summative decision-making processes to guide future work on initial certification in a competency-based system. Her research interests focus on the implementation of competency-based education and assessment across the continuum of medical education, summative entrustment and promotion decision-making, and residency selection in a competency-based system, the latter of which she is pursuing as her topic of study for her PhD in Medical Education from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
