The 2024 SAEM Great Plains Regional Meeting has been cancelled.
This event allows emergency medicine residents and faculty to present their research and scholarly activity in a forum that fosters development and productivity within emergency medicine.

Abstracts & Innovations Submissions
Abstracts and Innovations submissions are due October 18! Submissions must be less than 500 words, have no figures or tables, and should list all authors and affiliations. Please limit your submission to one page PDF or word document. Abstracts will be selected for an oral presentation or poster. Submit yours today!
Registration
- Faculty: $125
- Residents: $75
- Medical Students: $35
There are TWO travel scholarships available, one for a medical student and one for a resident. To be considered for a scholarship, please email Amanda Irish with a paragraph (300 words or less) answering the question "what will attending this conference do for my career?"

Recommended Accommodations
SAEM recommends booking a hotel room at the host hotel, the Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center, where a room block has been reserved. You must book by October 18th to obtain the group rate. Additional housing options include Homewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, or Drury Inn.
Quiz Bowl Competition
The 2024 meeting will be hosting a Quiz Bowl! In this competition, teams of three residents and/or medical students from the same institution will be asked a variety of questions in a gameshow style format led by a host with a panel of judges. Teams will be selected via a lottery system for a maximum of 12 teams. There is no registration fee, but conference registration and attendance is required to participate.
