Didactic: Pathways to Pediatric Emergency Medicine (Pediatric Emergency Medicine Interest Group Sponsored)
There are some distinctions between the two career pathways to pediatric emergency medicine that are important for learners and trainees to understand. This didactic will pair a Peds-PEM trained physician employed in an academic Department of Emergency Medicine with an EM-PEM trained physician jointly employed by academic Departments of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics. We will share personal experiences and data about the distinct pathways and the fellowship and career opportunities that abound from each.
