We seek to promote ethical and sustainable research, practice, and education about critical issues facing populations facing forced displacement, conflict, and humanitarian disasters.

Initiatives

• Advocating for humanitarian health in the academic medical center
• Creating a community of practitioners, researchers, and trainees interested in emergency care in humanitarian settings
• Disseminating evidence for emergency care in humanitarian settings, and promoting ethical research practices in insecure environments
• Conducting a systematic review of humanitarian health literature
• Promoting awareness of the use of responsible imagery in humanitarian settings
