EM in Costa Rica

Stony Brook University's Division of International Emergency Medicine has been working with our colleagues in Costa Rica to continue the development of Emergency Medicine as a specialty. Residents and fellows have gone to San Jose to rotate clinically, as well as to take part in a medical Spanish elective organized by Stony Brook EM attending alumnus Dr. Cristina Hernandez, now at University of San Diego. Additionally, we have taken residents and fellows for the annual Conceptos en Medicina de Urgencias Conference held in San Jose.
