Goals and Objectives

Recognizing the unique challenges for women working in Global Health, our aim is to create a forum for networking, collaboration, and mentorship for women working in Global Health by:

  1. Generating conversations about the spectrum of professional, academic, and personal challenges women face in Global Emergency Medicine
  2. Creating social media and online platforms to foster interactions
  3. Recruiting women around the world to engage in online platforms
  4. AWAEM/GEMA travel scholarship - put out a call for the scholarship, review applicants, and determine the winner
