Mission: Each patient is a human being, worthy of respect and dignity. We strive to ensure equitable emergency medical care for those we serve, provided by diverse and inclusive emergency medical professionals.

Objective: An online resource library of publications for emergency physicians to learn more about achieving health equity and eliminating health disparities. Resources have been grouped into one of seven categories. Within each category, the resources are listed by media type.

Also featured here is the SAEM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Curriculum, developed by members of the SAEM Equity and Inclusion Committee who identified a widespread need for a curricular resource in emergency medicine that would help provide structure and high-quality content on DEI topics. 

In addition, the newly formed All Emergency Medicine Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Task Force has created a DEI Glossary of Terms designed to shed light on essential topics that can help in fostering a more inclusive dialogue and informed discourse.
