| Faculty Membership | $790 | Individuals with an advanced degree such as MD, DO, PhD, DSc or equivalent who hold a university appointment or are actively involved in emergency medicine. Faculty members are eligible to vote for proposed C&B amendments and to fill elected positions in the Society. |
| Associate Membership | $360 | PA/NP/EMT/RN/research coordinators/project managers, lay public and government officials. |
| Pharmacist/PharmD | $360 | Includes associate membership in SAEM and its Academic Emergency Medicine Pharmacy (AEMP) Interest Group |
| Young Physician Year 1 | $325 | First year following residency graduation. |
| Young Physician Year 2 | $555 | Second year following residency graduation. |

| Active Duty Military | $310 | A person who is active duty in the United States military full time. They work for the military full time, may live on a military base, and can be deployed at any time. |
| Faculty Groups | $710 | Special rate for pre-arranged institutional memberships. |
| Residency Groups | $190 | Special rate for pre-arranged institutional memberships. |
| Medical Student Groups | $20 | Special rate for pre-arranged institutional memberships of 50 or more medical students. |
| Emeritus (non-voting) | $120 | Emeritus membership is available to emeritus professors/physicians who have been consistent members of SAEM for more than 15 years. The SAEM bylaws define emeritus members as follows: "Candidates for emeritus membership shall (i) have 15 years of active membership and have attained the age of 65 years or (ii) be other active members who under special circumstances are invited for such emeritus status by the Board of Directors." |
