The SAEM Board of Directors manages the property, activities, and affairs of SAEM, and governs the Society between annual business meetings.
Academies provide a venue for SAEM members with a specialized area of expertise to collaborate on ways to advance their respective subspecialties and emergency medicine as a whole.
The Community site supports SAEM academies, interest groups, committees, task forces and member generated sites.
If you are passionate about improving patient care in emergency medicine, SAEM provides many ways to get involved such as volunteering at scientific meetings, fundraising events, and participation on committees and task forces.
Task Forces are special working groups appointed by SAEM to carry out a specific project or objective.
Interest Groups provide a mechanism for members of the Society interested in a specific topic or area to meet, share ideas and network in a relatively unstructured and informal fashion.
The AACEM mission is to enhance and support academic departments of emergency medicine as they improve healthcare through high-quality education and research.
